ADA complaint Process
Any person alleging the SamTrans has failed to comply with the ADA or its implementing regulations may file a complaint.
- To file an ADA complaint, please compete the complaint form below and submit it by mail or e-mail to:

(Link to ADA complaint form) - If the complainant is unable to write because of a disability and needs assistance in completing the form, SamTrans staff will assist by scribing the complaint by phone. Please call the Customer Service Center at 1-800-660-4287 or dial 711 for the California Relay Service.
- SamTrans will begin an investigation within ten (10) working days of receipt of a written complaint.
- If additional information is needed, SamTrans will contact the complainant. If the complainant fails to provide the requested information on a timely basis, SamTrans shall administratively close the complaint.
- SamTrans will complete the investigation within sixty (60) days of receipt of the complaint. If additional time for investigation is needed, the complainant will be contacted.
- The Acting ADA Coordinator will prepare a response, which will include a summary of the findings and recommended action. The complainant will have fifteen (15) working days from receipt of the response to appeal. If no appeal is received, the complaint will be closed.
