Employee Compensation

The San Mateo County Transit District Board of Directors has adopted a salary ordinance that outlines how many staff positions are authorized for the District. The ordinance also states the approved salary range. Changes to the salary ordinance are voted on by the Board of Directors during a public meeting.  A copy of the current salary ordinance is below.

The California State Controller’s Office requires public agencies to submit their employee compensation information on an annual basis. A copy of the most current information is provided below.

The District operates SamTrans bus service, as well as Redi-Wheels and RediCoast paratransit service. The District also is the managing agency and provides the staffing for the Caltrain commuter rail service and the San Mateo County Transportation Authority.
