Fourth of July Service for Caltrain and SamTrans

Fourth of July Service for Caltrain and SamTrans

Caltrain and SamTrans will provide modified service on Thursday, July 4, for Independence Day.

Caltrain will operate a holiday schedule in addition to extra post-event late night southbound service following the July 4th fireworks show. Post-event trains will make all local weekend stops from San Francisco to San Jose. Folks planning to attend the festivities in San Francisco can ride Caltrain to the San Francisco Station and connect to Muni for service to the waterfront. The last train departs San Francisco station at 12:05 a.m.

SamTrans will operate a regular Sunday schedule.

Caltrain and SamTrans will operate a regular weekday schedule on Friday, July 5.

Caltrain is a proof-of-payment system; tickets are not sold onboard trains but can be purchased at station ticket machines. To save time on the return trip, passengers are encouraged to buy a Day Pass or utilize the new Caltrain mobile app. Clipper card users are reminded to tag on and tag off.

Parking at Caltrain stations costs $5.50 for the day, and permits can be purchased through ticket machines onsite. Paid parking rules are enforced throughout the day.

To help make it a pleasant trip for all, Caltrain reminds fans to drink responsibly and to remember that open alcoholic beverages are prohibited on trains beginning at 9 p.m.
