SamTrans Adds Meeting to Outreach Campaign for Proposed New Service Plan

SamTrans has added a meeting to its extensive outreach campaign to gather input on a proposed new service plan that will give riders more of what works, less of what doesn’t and try some new things.

The additional meeting will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, at the Magnolia Senior Center, 601 Grand Ave., in South San Francisco.

SamTrans staff has been holding community meetings throughout the county to seek feedback and recommendations based on the proposal.

The draft proposal can be reviewed at www.samtrans.com/ssp. Comments can be made in person at a public meeting, by e-mail or sent by letter to Planning and Development, ATTN: SSP, 1250 San Carlos Ave., San Carlos, CA 94070.

After the community outreach process is completed, all of the comments will be considered and a final draft proposal will be submitted to the SamTrans Board of Directors for review in late 2012 or early 2013. Any service changes resulting from the SSP would be scheduled to take effect in mid-2013.

Spanish translation will be available at the meeting. If there are requests for other languages, please call 650-508-6338 at least 72 hours in advance of the meeting.
