Bay to Breakers, the world's wackiest foot race, is Sunday,
May 18, and you can count on SamTrans to get you there -- in record time!
"Start to Finish" Service -- Now Quicker than Ever!
SamTrans express service will take you to the Bay (Second and Folsom streets) bright and early on race day and pick you up near the Breakers (Sunset Boulevard) after the race. We'll even hold your extra clothes and food* (no valuables please) on a “Participants’ Bus” during the race. Please see schedule schedule below.
Up and Down the Peninsula
Whether you're coming from San Bruno or Palo Alto, we've got you covered! Five express routes will stop along the Peninsula, picking up both runners and spectators.
Round-trip Fare is only $8!
No need to pre-purchase tickets; just put your $4 in the farebox when you board or pay $8 for your round trip and you’ll be given a sticker, which will be used as your return ticket. For group reservations for parties of 10 or more, call 650-508-6292 by May 9.
Notice: Bus operator cannot make change, use exact change to pay your fare.

After the Race
The first bus will depart Sunset Boulevard (between Irving & Judah streets) at 10 a.m. or when full. The last bus will leave at 1:30 p.m. (after the Footstock concert is over) and will make all stops.
