Local fares are paid on all routes that are not mentioned in the above fare chart.
# Clipper: Free 2-hour transfers for Local fares paid with Clipper or SamTrans Mobile. Fare upgrade will be required when transferring to Express Route.
* Children: Two children age 4 or younger may travel free with each Adult or Eligible Discount fare-paying passenger. Additional children are subject to the Youth fare.
** Seniors (65 years or older) and passengers with disabilities, who present a Regional Transit Connection Discount Card or a current Disabled Placard Identification card issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles or a valid transit discount card issued by another California transit agency which is equivalent to the RTCDC, or those who are Medicare cardholders may ride for a discounted fare.
Monthly Pass is sold from the 21st of the prior month through the 15 of the month when the pass is valid. For example, January Monthly Pass can be purchased from December 21 to January 15.
Caltrain riders: The Caltrain 2+ Zone Clipper Monthly Pass functions as a SamTrans monthly bus pass for all Local routes. Customers get fare credit on Express routes.
