SamTrans Redi-Wheels Operators Honored
The San Mateo County Paratransit Coordinating Council recently presented awards to
two outstanding Redi-Wheels operators. Operators Dan Marsello of Daly City and Lee
Coleman of Burlingame were honored for their safe driving and excellent customer
service records.
Marsello was recognized for his considerate and compassionate demeanor and because he
is always concerned about the welfare of his Redi-Wheels customers, whom he's served
since 1990.
Coleman, who is known among riders for his pleasing personality and ability to make
them smile, has been a Redi-Wheels driver for two years.
Redi-Wheels customers and those social service agencies served by the paratransit
service play a role in selecting the drivers to be honored.
"These awards are important because they recognize the unsung heroes of paratransit,"
said SamTrans Accessible Coordinator Tina Dubost. "Every day, both of these drivers
make a positive difference in the lives of the customers whom they serve."
