SamTrans Puts a Face on Transit

While multimodal transportation service is the San Mateo County Transit District's livelihood, it's the people that make it tick. These people, the riders and employees, are featured in the district's recently released brochure entitled "2003 Update, The Faces of Transit." (PDF, 861.9 KB)

The transit district, which operates SamTrans, Caltrain and the Transportation Authority - the planning and development agency that administers the county's Measure A half-cent sales tax for transportation improvements - recently distributed a progress report on district finances and activities.

The brochure is full of photos of the newest buses, trains and quotes from real riders using all of the district's services. It offers a brief explanation about the district's product and large projects, a financial update and transit district history.

Copies of "The Faces of Transit" are available at the district's headquarters, 1250 San Carlos Ave., San Carlos, at libraries, city halls and senior centers throughout the county, or by calling the SamTrans customer service center at 1-800-660-4287 or (TDD only) 650-508-6448.
