Media Advisory: State Political Officials to Speak at Transit Conference
WHO:
State Senator Jackie Speier (D - San Mateo/San Francisco) and State Senator Jim Costa
(Ret.) (D - Fresno) are speaking at the California Transit Association's 2003 Fall
Conference. The two political dignitaries will address key challenges facing
transit agencies throughout the state including the Peninsula's critical Baby Bullet
project and the future of statewide high speed rail.
WHAT:
The California Transit Association represents members from transit agencies
throughout the state, as well as transit vendors, manufacturers and consultants. The
annual Fall Conference offers attendees informational workshops across a variety of
disciplines including, operations, maintenance, finance, technology, marketing,
planning and transit legislation. In addition, the conference acts as a key
networking opportunity for vendors and transit agency representatives.
