SamTrans Adjusts Bus Routes to Meet New BART Schedule
Beginning Feb. 8, the San Mateo County Transit District will alter nine bus routes to
better connect with BART's new schedule, which takes effect on Feb. 9.
When BART initiated service along the San Mateo County extension last June, SamTrans
realigned many of its routes to carry passengers to and from the Peninsula's new BART
stations. SamTrans will continue to support BART passengers by making additional
adjustments on some of its routes.
Some of these changes include:
- Adjustments to Routes 390, 391 and KX to maintain 15-minute service along the
El Camino Real corridor.
- Changes to Routes 122, 132, 133, 141, 294 and 342, all routes that serve BART
stations to maintain good connectivity.
- Renaming two Route PX schedules, which deviate from the standard route to
create a new Route RX to avoid passenger confusion about the existing schedules.
In addition, SamTrans is reconfiguring the bus stops at the Redwood City Transit
Center to improve safety and the overall flow of traffic. Routes 270, 271, 274, 295,
296, 297, 391 and 397 will be stopping at new locations.
