SamTrans Adapts Service for July 4 and 5 Festivities

SamTrans will operate on a Sunday schedule on July 4 and a holiday schedule on Monday, July 5. SamTrans also will operate a free shuttle for Independence Day festivities in Foster City on July 4. The service is sponsored by the city.

SamTrans will use holiday schedules on the following routes on July 5:
  • In North County: 38, 120, 121, 122, 130


  • In Central County and Coastside: 110, 112, 294


  • San Francisco/Daly City to the Peninsula: KX, 390, 391, 292


  • In South County: 280, 281, 296, 297, 397
No other SamTrans routes will operate.

SamTrans will provide residents with a free shuttle to the Independence Day festivities at Ryan Park on the Fourth of July.

Two special shuttles will take passengers to the park every 10 minutes between 6 p.m. and 8:40 p.m. Return trips will leave the park at 9:30 p.m., or 10 minutes after the fireworks are over, and continue as long as necessary.

The Blue Route will begin and end at the Foster City Library, located at Hillsdale and Shell boulevards, and travel through the Gull area.

The Red Route will begin at Altair Avenue and Hillsdale Boulevard and pick up passengers in the Port Royal area. The route will end at the Foster City Library.

Passengers may board only at designated stops marked with Red Route and Blue Route signs.
