SamTrans Summer Youth Pass Offers Kids a Ride to Freedom
The SamTrans Summer Youth Pass offers a solution to an age-old summertime problem:
kids want to be shuttled from one fun event to the next, but parents are unavailable
to chauffeur them.
The Summer Youth Pass offers both kids and parents some freedom. For only $25, kids
17 years and younger have unlimited rides on SamTrans' air-conditioned local and
express buses from June through August.
By purchasing the colorful plastic flash pass, kids, or their parents, save 62 percent
off the price of three individual youth monthly passes, valued at a total of $66. Each
pass comes attached to a handy carabiner clip that can be attached to a back pack or
belt loop.
The Summer Youth Pass is available at SamTrans headquarters at 1250 San Carlos Ave. in
San Carlos, and at nearly 100 SamTrans pass sales outlets located throughout the
county, including all Safeway stores. The passes also can be ordered by mail.
