Parking Fee Reduced at Colma Park and Ride Lot Aug. 1
Effective Aug. 1, SamTrans will reduce the parking fee at the Colma Park and Ride lot to
$1 a day, a 50 percent savings.
On the same day, BART also will reduce the fee at the adjacent Colma BART Station
parking garage to $1.
The completion of the BART extension and the addition of four new stations has given
riders more choices and, as a result, fewer people are using the Colma parking lots,
opting to use one of the stations to the south instead.
There is no parking fee at the South San Francisco, San Bruno or Millbrae BART stations.
The fee at the Daly City BART Station is $2.
The San Mateo County Transit District is the county’s people-mover. In addition to
operating SamTrans bus service and serving as the administrator for Caltrain, the agency
also is a partner in the BART extension to Millbrae. The district also provides
Redi-Wheels paratransit service for persons with disabilities who are unable to ride
SamTrans; operates shuttles that link transit centers with major employment sites; and,
is the managing agency for the San Mateo County Transportation Authority, which
administers the expenditure of Measure A funds.
