SamTrans to Return to Pre-Devil’s Slide Closure Schedule

After Thursday, Aug. 3, SamTrans will no longer offer its supplemental service on Route 294, which was instituted to assist commuters during the closure of Highway 1 at Devil’s Slide. Route 294 will no longer provide direct connections to San Bruno BART on weekdays and Daly City BART on weekends. BART connections will be available through connections with Routes CX, 110 and 112 at the Linda Mar Park and Ride.

Starting Friday, Aug. 4 standard service on Route 294 will be reinstated. On weekdays, Route 294 serves Pacifica , Half Moon Bay and the Hillsdale Shopping Center in San Mateo. On weekends, it travels between Pacifica and Half Moon Bay.

All non-commute hour trips on Route 294 may be subject to minor delays through the end of September on Highway 1, as Caltrans finishes repair work at Devil’s Slide. According to Caltrans, weekend and commute-hours trips should not experience any construction delays.

SamTrans is proud of its efforts to assist in providing commute alternatives during the Devil’s Slide closure.
