SamTrans Adjusts Coastside Service Due To Hwy 1 Closure

With the closure of Devil’s Slide, SamTrans is unable to provide its scheduled service between Half Moon Bay and Pacifica along State Highway 1.

While SamTrans is currently operating a temporary shuttle service to circumvent the closure, starting this Friday, April 7, SamTrans will put into effect its long-term Devils Slide closure contingency plan.

Route 294 will be adjusted to travel between Main and Seventh streets in Montara and San Mateo via State Highway 92 on weekdays. On Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, Route 294 will travel between Main and Seventh streets in Montara and the Daly City BART Station via Interstate 280. The route will serve all regular stops in Moss Beach, El Granada, and Half Moon Bay.

Although Route 294 will not serve the Linda Mar Park and Ride Lot in Pacifica, Route 110 and Route 112 will continue to operate as usual.

Route 110 provides service between the park and ride lot and Westlake Shopping Center, and the Daly City BART Station. Route 112 provides service between the park and ride lot and Serramonte Shopping Center and the Colma BART Station.

This adjusted service is expected to remain in effect until Caltrans can reopen Highway 1; SamTrans will notify the public of any additional changes.
