Ride Transit all Summer Long with Discounted Summer Youth Pass

Kids can have unlimited access to SamTrans bus service all summer long for just $35 with the SamTrans Summer Youth Pass.

SYP offers freedom to get around, without waiting for mom or dad to drive. And, with dozens of routes throughout San Mateo County and into Palo Alto and San Francisco, SamTrans offers kids plenty of opportunity to get where they want to go, all for a low price that lets them save their money for fun stuff.

The deeply discounted pass is available to anyone 17 and under and allows unlimited rides on SamTrans buses between June 1 and Aug. 31 for one low price. The cost of the pass is 60 percent less than the cost of three regular monthly youth passes, which cost $29 each.

Each SYP comes with a keychain flashlight, which is perfect for carrying a pass holder and keys. The pass goes on sale from May 21 through July 15. Passes can be purchased at SamTrans headquarters, at 1250 San Carlos Avenue in San Carlos, or at nearly 100 SamTrans pass sales outlets located throughout the county, including all Safeway stores. The passes also can be ordered by mail.
