SamTrans Seeks Community Members For Advisory Committee
The San Mateo County Transit District is soliciting
applicants to volunteer for its Citizens Advisory Committee.
Applicants should be able to represent multimodal
riders, such as those who ride SamTrans and
connect with Caltrain or BART, or community
members. The 15-member CAC is responsible
for providing input on the needs of transit users
and informing their constituents of transit programs
and acts in an advisory capacity to the board of directors.
The CAC meets on the first Wednesday of the
month at 6:30 p.m. in San Carlos. Applicants will
be interviewed and the board must approve the
appointment of members.
Interested persons can download an application as a
PDF or
Microsoft Word
document, or contact the board secretary at 650-508-6223.
The district operates SamTrans buses and shuttles,
Caltrain rail service, Redi-Wheels and RediCoast
paratransit service throughout San Mateo County.
