Take SamTrans To Italy (In San Mateo)

SamTrans can be your gondolier to Festa Italiana, an Italian street festival, in downtown San Mateo, Sunday, July 22. Forget about traffic and parking hassles and leave the driving to SamTrans. The festival area is served by Routes 390 and 391, which run along El Camino Real until shortly after midnight, and by Routes 250 and 292, which stop at the San Mateo Caltrain Station.

More than 50,000 people are expected to attend this event, which kicks off with a parade at 10 a.m., followed by a Bocce Ball Tournament, a classic car show, a chalk art display, children’s carnival and more than 200 arts and crafts booths and food vendors. The fair runs along North B Street between Tilton and Second avenues. Proceeds from the event benefit the non-profit Festa Foundation, which supports children and adults with developmental disabilities.

For assistance choosing the right route for you, or for more information about SamTrans schedules and fares, call 1-800-660-4287 (TTY 650-508-6448).
