Fairgoers gearing up for their yearly dose of carnival rides, games and food can avoid traffic and parking hassles by taking SamTrans to the San Mateo County Fair Aug. 10-19.

SamTrans Routes 390 and 391 stop on El Camino Real, a couple blocks away from the entrance to the San Mateo County Fair, which also is served by Route 292 in San Mateo. The fair is located at 2495 S. Delaware St.

SamTrans will be on-hand at the fair on Kids’ Day, Thursday, Aug. 16, with information about transit service throughout the county, as well as the “Art Takes a Bus Ride” bus. The bus was recently wrapped in colorful photos of this year’s winning artwork by local students on the theme of “SamTrans Takes You There.”
