Solicitations Area

You are currently in the main area for Solicitations.

Please select an area from the left menu. The different areas available are as follows:

  • Upcoming Solicitations represent a list of anticipated contracting opportunities with SamTrans, Caltrain and the San Mateo County Transportation Authority. To receive an email notification when the Upcoming Contract is out for bid, we invite you to apply as a Vendor/Contractor (click on the "Register NOW!" button to the right).

  • Open Solicitations contain all solicitations that are currently open for bidding.

  • Bid Results contain all solicitations in which all bids have been received and processed. The vendor(s) and corresponding bid(s) are posted after processing.

  • Awards contain all solicitations that have been awarded. The vendor(s) and corresponding amount(s) are posted.

PLEASE NOTE - NEW DOCUMENT DOWNLOAD PROCESS:

The Agency has replaced its ADOBE link method of viewing and downloading documents with a new File Transfer Protocol (ftp) process. When a registered vendor logs into the site and clicks on the Open Contract Documents Area button, a pop-up window is displayed containing PDF files available for download to the user's computer using standard MS Windows commands.

Our website uses pop-ups, so be sure that your Browser and/or Security Software will allow pop-ups from http://www.samtrans.com. You may have to modify the pop-up blocker settings in Yahoo, Google, Internet Explorer, MSN, and Mozilla Firefox so that you can see the solicitation files.

Be sure that your Temporary Internet files have been deleted. If you come to the Web site expecting to see Addendum #2 (for example), and it is not there, then your PC is probably showing you a Temporary Internet file and not what is really on the Web site. You will need to delete your Temporary Internet files and look at the Web site again to see the current view.

Also, make sure that your Internet Security and/or Personal Firewall Settings allow for FTP Traffic.

If you have any difficulty seeing files or plan holder lists, first contact your IT Department or your local PC Professional to check on your pop-up and/or firewall settings. If difficulties persist, please call 650-508-6270.
