Schools Served

With buses traveling throughout San Mateo County, students and school staff have come to rely on SamTrans for arriving at school on time.

As part of a process to streamline and improve the service, some route numbers will be changed effective Aug. 11, 2013. Below is a summary of changes for routes that operate only on school days:

  • Route 36 will be eliminated; however, Route 35 will be adjusted to accommodate the service provided by Route 36.

  • Eight new routes will be created from trips that exist under other current local routes. Example: New Route 79 will be comprised of up to 7 trips from current Route 271.

  • Routes that only operated on school days but had a number of deviations (different routing) will be separated and receive their own name. Example: Route 83 will be broken into six individual routes (80, 82, 83, 84, 88, 89).
