The San Mateo County Transit District is recruiting five new members for the Measure W Congestion Relief Plan Independent Citizens’ Oversight Committee (COC).
The COC is tasked with reviewing the administration of the Congestion Relief Plan to ensure Tax Proceeds are invested in a way that is consistent with the Plan.
As specified in Measure W, the role of the COC is to receive findings of an independent audit, hold a public hearing, and issue a report annually to provide County residents with information regarding how Tax Proceeds are being spent.
Meetings occur at least once annually, exact schedule to be determined. All meetings will be conducted via Zoom until further notice but may be in person in the future. All meetings will be publicly noticed and conducted in accordance with the Ralph M. Brown Act.
New COC members will be appointed by the Transit District Board of Directors based on the written application. Interviews may also be requested. Interested persons can fill out the online application below or download a fillable/printable application here.
