SamTrans Offering All-You-Can Ride Youth Pass for $40 This Summer

With summer almost here, it’s the perfect moment for younger residents to purchase the SamTrans Summer Youth Pass, and for the first time ever, the pass can be bought online.

The Summer Youth Pass is a great deal for passengers 18 years old or younger, with the fare offering unlimited rides from June 1 to August 31 for just $40. That amounts to savings of $41 when compared to three Youth Monthly passes.

The Summer Youth Pass will be available for purchase from May 21 through July 15. Details on how it can be purchased are below:

  • From the SamTrans new online “store.” The pass can be bought with a credit or debit card, or PayPal account. The store will go active on May 21, and will be available at www.samtrans.com/syp.
  • To order by mail or fax, fill out the order form here.
  • Visit the SamTrans headquarters at 1250 San Carlos Ave. in San Carlos, which is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The Summer Youth Pass is not available on the Clipper card.

Youth passengers have opportunities to travel to the many great and exciting destinations that SamTrans serves every day. A list of some of the more popular events and locales are available in the SamTrans Fun Destination Guide here.
