Every day, SamTrans employees work hard to get riders to their destinations throughout San Mateo County. Today, March 18, SamTrans is recognizing all its transit employees for National Transit Employee Appreciation Day (TEAD). Transit employees across the nation work long hours to make sure riders, locals and tourists are getting to and from their desired locations, and SamTrans is no different.

TEAD is an opportunity to recognize our front-line employees, such as bus operators and customer service center representatives that make up the SamTrans team. San Mateo County is one of the biggest counties in the Bay Area and SamTrans is a vital artery connecting the communities throughout the region.

SamTrans will recognize these employees today with a daylong food fest and a chance to enjoy each other's company. Later this year, SamTrans will also host its second annual Tech Ops Day commemorating the dedication and hard work the Sam Trans maintenance team accomplished every day.

When you have an opportunity to see a SamTrans employee out in the field, be sure to say hi and acknowledge their commitment for the county National Transit Employee Appreciation Day | SamTrans.
