How to Buy

Monthly Passes
SamTrans Monthly Passes are available only on the Clipper Card and may be purchased between the 21st of the month prior to the month the pass is valid until the 9th of the month the pass is valid.  The Monthly passes may be loaded on to the Clipper Card at SamTrans headquarters or from any Clipper retail outlet. 


Tokens
SamTrans tokens may be purchased in several ways:

  1. At any of our pass sales outlets.
  2. By mail or fax using the ticket order form (MS Word, PDF)
  3. SamTrans headquarters (Packets of Local-ride Tickets also may be purchased).

Day Passes
Day passes are available for purchase only on the bus.  They may be purchased with cash, Change cards or a combination of both.

Payments
SamTrans headquarters accepts Visa, Mastercard and Discover credit cards, personal checks, cashier checks and money orders. Checks and money orders should be made payable to SamTrans.

SamTrans also accepts transit vouchers from the following transit benefit providers: TranBen, Commuter Check, TransitCenter, Inc. and WageWorks.

SamTrans headquarters is located at 1250 San Carlos Ave., 2nd Floor, San Carlos, CA 94070-1306, open Mon. - Fri. from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
