SamTrans is recruiting five new members for the Measure W Congestion Relief Plan Independent Citizens Oversight Committee (COC). The COC is tasked with reviewing the administration of tax revenue to ensure that funds are invested in a manner consistent with the plan.

Appointed members of the COC receive findings of an independent audit, hold a public hearing, and issue a report annually to provide county residents with information regarding how Measure W revenues are being spent. SamTrans is accepting applications to fill the following five COC seats:

  • SamTrans Citizens Advisory Committee Representative
  • Caltrain Citizens Advisory Committee - San Mateo County Representative
  • Senior Community Representative
  • San Mateo County Supervisorial District 4 Representative
  • San Mateo County Supervisorial District 5 Representative

The new COC members will be appointed by the SamTrans Board of Directors based on a written application. Interviews may also be requested.

Interested persons can either fill out an online application or download a fillable/printable application here. Applications are due Thursday, October 20, 2022.

SamTrans’ vision is to be a mobility leader, providing transportation choices and sustainable future that meets the needs of our diverse communities.
