About the CAC
The San Mateo County Transit District (SamTrans) Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) was formed to represent transit users and provide input on the needs of current and potential transit customers, as well as help inform community residents of transit programs. The committee is composed of 15 volunteer representatives from various segments of the community and acts in an advisory capacity to the SamTrans Board of Directors. The membership term is three years. Interested applicants may email cacsecretary@samtrans.com to receive an application or fill out the online application below.
The CAC meets on the last Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm at San Mateo Country Transit District Headquarters, Bacciocco Auditorium, 2nd Floor, 1250 San Carlos Avenue, San Carlos, CA 94070. All meetings are open to the public and members of the public may attend in-person or participate remotely via Zoom. The San Mateo County Transit District considers applicants for vacant or upcoming positions on its Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) several times each year for three-year terms.
