Effective June 14, 2026: Due to long-term Caltrans road construction, Route 397 OWL buses will follow a new detour in Burlingame and San Mateo. The El Camino Real Roadway Renewal Project is expected to be completed in 2029.
Northbound and Southbound service will be rerouted to serve Millbrae Transit Center. During the detour, some stops on El Camino Real will close, and SamTrans is adding alternative stops on nearby streets. Riders should allow extra travel time. Schedules will add 10 minutes during off-peak periods. Detours may change as work continues.
