SamTrans Ride Plus

SamTrans Ride Plus is an on-demand, curb-to-curb public transit service offering convenient, affordable transportation for users in our Half Moon Bay zone. Simply download the app or call 650-238-5880, book your ride, and let SamTrans do the rest. If you’ve used other rideshare services like Uber or Lyft, the process will be comfortable and familiar – and far more affordable at $2.25, the same price as a bus ride. Ride Plus is a shared-ride service.

SamCoast

SamCoast provides curb-to-curb, shared-ride service in the mid, southern and rural parts of the San Mateo County coast.

All trips must start or end in the service area. SamCoast connects to regional SamTrans fixed routes 117 and 294 in Half Moon Bay. The scheduling of trips is dependent upon vehicle availability and demand.  

Service Area, Hours and Cost:  

• Service area: SamCoast service is available south of 2nd Street in Montara, west of Highway 35 (Skyline Blvd), north of Loma Mar, and south along Highway 1 to the border of Santa Cruz County.  
• Operating hours: Weekdays, 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and weekends, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. If your ride is delayed, contact (650) 560-0360 for updates.  
• Reservation hours: Weekdays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and weekends, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Trips must be booked between one and seven days in advance of travel.  
• Cost: $4.25 per trip, $1.75 for lifeline/low-income passengers.
