SamCoast

The purpose of SamCoast is to provide curb-to-curb service in the southern and rural parts of the San Mateo County coast. All trips must start or end in the service area however SamCoast prioritizes trips where the pick-up and drop-off locations are both within the service area. SamCoast is an option for people of all ages.

SamCoast will make every effort to provide trips that pick-up or drop-off outside the service area. Some trips may not be possible due to vehicle availability and demand within the service area. SamCoast may need to group passengers together, especially for lengthy trips outside the service area, to limit the impact of these trips on the overall service.

SamCoast is expanding its historical service area to include portions of Half Moon Bay as well as provide service outside the service area under a one-year pilot program. SamCoast will assess demand and may make adjustments periodically throughout the year.
