SamTrans has made significant updates to its bus network to improve how riders get where they need to go. This included more frequent service, new and updated routes, and better connections throughout the county.
These changes were introduced through Reimagine SamTrans and fully implemented by August 2024.
Now, a new survey is giving riders the opportunity to share how those updates are working in everyday travel.
What the survey asks
The survey focuses on riders’ day-to-day experiences, including:
- Reliability and on-time performance
- Service frequency and span of service
- Ease of transfers and connections
- Overall satisfaction with bus service
Responses will help SamTrans better understand rider priorities and identify areas for continued improvement.
How to participate
The survey is now available at: https://www.samtrans.com/ReimagineSurvey.
Additional formats and language assistance will be available upon request. Participation is voluntary, and responses will be kept confidential.
SamTrans encourages anyone who rides — whether daily or occasionally — to take part.
About the service changes
The recent updates are part of a long-term effort known as Reimagine SamTrans, a systemwide service review and redesign that began in 2019 and was implemented in multiple phases and completed in summer 2024. The effort focused on improving service where demand is highest, expanding access to key destinations, and making the system easier to use for more riders.
