The Bike to Wherever Days Energizer Station at Millbrae Station in 2025
SamTrans will join the Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition, Caltrain and the San Mateo County Transportation Authority in celebrating Bike to Wherever Days with a community Energizer Station at Millbrae Station on Friday, May 15, from 7 to 10 a.m.
The annual Bike to Wherever Days campaign encourages residents throughout the Bay Area to use bicycles for commuting, errands, recreation and everyday trips during Bike Month. Organized by the Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition, the event includes Energizer Stations across the region offering free refreshments, giveaways and encouragement for people riding bikes.
Visitors to the Millbrae Station Energizer Station can stop by for snacks, waters and bicycle-themed giveaways while learning more about sustainable transportation options in San Mateo County.
“Bike to Wherever Days highlights how biking and transit work together to give people flexible, sustainable ways to travel throughout the county and region,” said SamTrans General Manager/CEO April Chan. “Whether you’re riding SamTrans, Caltrain, BART or some combination of those services, Millbrae Station provides seamless connections for people commuting by bike.”
Millbrae Station is served directly by SamTrans Route 292, which connects riders to San Francisco International Airport, downtown San Francisco and communities throughout the Peninsula. SamTrans Route ECR also stops about one block away on El Camino Real, providing frequent service along the Peninsula corridor.
SamTrans buses are equipped with front-mounted bicycle racks, making it easy for riders to combine biking with their bus trip.
Bike to Wherever Days runs May 14-16 as part of National Bike Month and features Energizer Stations and community events throughout the Bay Area.
