SamTrans will join VTA and Caltrain at the Silicon Valley Pride Parade on Sunday, Aug. 30, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in downtown San Jose. The parade begins at Julian Street and Market Street and ends at Plaza Park.
Riders can take SamTrans to any Caltrain station within its service area to Caltrain’s San Jose Diridon Station then connect to downtown San Jose by VTA light rail or local bus. Riders also can walk approximately 1.3 miles from Diridon Station to Plaza Park. Use the VTA app or trip planner to confirm connections. Allow extra travel time for crowds and street closures.
This collaboration between SamTrans, VTA and Caltrain extends the spirit of unity that transit agencies across the Bay Area celebrated throughout Pride Month in June and at San Francisco Pride. By coming together again in San Jose, the agencies are celebrating the LGBTQ+ community while demonstrating the power of regional partnership to connect people, communities and destinations across the Bay Area.
