SamTrans to Hold Four Reimagine SamTrans Public Meetings

As SamTrans enters the third and final phase of the comprehensive operational analysis known as Reimagine SamTrans, the agency is seeking final feedback from the public. A new recommended bus network has been developed and the public is invited to comment on these route changes until November 8, 2021 or participate in an upcoming virtual public meeting.

After hearing from the community and conducting a system-wide analysis, SamTrans is recommending changes to almost every bus route across the network. Reimagine SamTrans aims to refresh the SamTrans bus network by redesigning routes with three goals in mind: equity, efficiency and connections. Equity will be achieved by prioritizing buses to high-need communities from underused and duplicate routes. Efficiency will be improved by creating faster, more reliable service through more direct and consolidated routes. Connections will be expanded by providing expanded all-day service, and more service to transit hubs and job centers.

The public can review route changes and submit their comments on the project website at www.reimaginesamtrans.com before November 8. Four virtual public meetings will also be held on the following dates and locations:
