A festively decorated SamTrans Holiday Bus will again join the lineup of parade participants at this year’s Hometown Holidays event in downtown Redwood City.

This free festival takes place, rain or shine, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2. The parade portion of the event runs from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. and during that time, staff will hand out SamTrans-branded Santa hats to those along the parade route, while supplies last. The fully decorated SamTrans Minibus will escort the Holiday Bus throughout the parade.

After the parade, both buses will be on display at the Sequoia Station in downtown to welcome the Caltrain Holiday Train at 6:10 p.m.

In addition to the parade, the family-friendly event also offers carnival rides, music, food and beverage vendors, and a chance to get your picture taken with Santa.

This marks the 12th year that SamTrans will participate in the Hometown Holidays parade.
