SamTrans will join Bay Area transit agencies in an unprecedented regional collaboration to celebrate Pride during the San Francisco Pride Parade on Sunday, June 28. The unified campaign highlights how transit agencies across the nine-county region work together to connect communities and help riders travel seamlessly throughout the Bay Area.
As part of the collaboration, SamTrans will participate in the parade for the fourth consecutive year with its specially wrapped Pride Bus. The bus features artwork designed by SamTrans Senior Graphic Designer Cheri West, whose design reflects the shared commitment among participating transit agencies to celebrate inclusion and the region's interconnected transit network. It features the shared slogan Moving the Bay Area with Pride.
“Public transit connects people to opportunity, community and one another,” said SamTrans General Manager/CEO April Chan. “Participating in Pride is one way we demonstrate our commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive system for everyone who lives, works and travels in our region. We're proud to stand alongside our Bay Area transit partners in celebrating the diversity that strengthens our communities.”
The regional campaign emphasizes that no matter where a trip begins or ends, Bay Area transit agencies work together to help riders reach their destinations safely and reliably.
SamTrans encourages riders, employees and community members to attend the parade and join in celebrating the inclusive nature of Pride.

The San Mateo County Transit District operates 74 routes and two on-demand service areas. Funded in part by a half-cent sales tax, the district also provides administrative support for Caltrain and the San Mateo County Transportation Authority.
