SamTrans will operate a regular non-school schedule on Christmas Eve, Wednesday, Dec. 24, and a Sunday schedule on Christmas Day, Thursday, Dec. 25. Schedules for specific routes can be found here.
The fixed-route bus system will follow its standard holiday schedule, meaning routes will run less frequently than on weekdays. Routes that do not normally operate on Sundays will not be in service.
Ride Plus, SamTrans’ on-demand service, will operate its normal schedule within its two service areas of Half Moon Bay/El Granada from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and East Palo Alto/Belle Haven from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
For the day after Christmas, SamTrans will operate regular weekday schedules; however, school-oriented (two-digit) routes will not be in service.
Please note, the administrative offices of the San Mateo County Transit District, which manages SamTrans, will be closed on Thursday, Dec. 25, and Friday, Dec. 26.
