SamTrans is ready to help riders travel during the Independence Day holiday weekend. The fixed-route bus system will operate a standard holiday schedule on Friday, July 3, the observed Independence Day holiday. SamTrans bus routes will run on a Sunday schedule.
Ride Plus will operate its regular schedule within its two service areas:
- Half Moon Bay/El Granada: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- East Palo Alto/Belle Haven: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
On Saturday, July 4, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., SamTrans routes 130, 130B and 141 will be detoured in South San Francisco because of the Grand Avenue Fourth of July Parade.
- Routes 130 and 130B: Buses will detour from Grand Avenue to Miller Avenue between Orange Avenue and Linden Avenue.
- Route 141: Buses will detour via Baden Avenue between Spruce Avenue and Airport Boulevard before returning to Linden Avenue via Miller Avenue.
Riders should use the temporary bus stops at posted locations and allow extra travel time during the detour.
The administrative offices of the San Mateo County Transit District, located at 166 N Rollins Road in Millbrae, will be closed Friday, July 3.
