SamTrans is once again joining forces with the Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition and the San Mateo County Transportation Authority (TA) to celebrate Bike to Wherever Days 2025, a regional effort to encourage biking as a fun, healthy, and sustainable way to get around.

On Friday, May 16, SamTrans and the TA will host a Bike to Wherever Days Energizer Station from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Millbrae Transit Center, served by SamTrans Route 292 and just a few pedal strokes away from Route ECR. SamTrans ambassadors and staff will be there to cheer on cyclists and transit riders, offering:

  • Complimentary snacks and beverages
  • Swag giveaways
  • Limited-edition Bike to Wherever Days musette bike bags (while supplies last)
  • Prize drawings courtesy of local bike shops

This annual event is a way to thank and celebrate those who combine biking and public transit as part of their daily commute or lifestyle. Biking and riding transit are key elements in the effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, ease traffic congestion, and support healthier communities.

As part of its ongoing commitment to bike-friendly service, SamTrans has recently upgraded its fleet with larger bike racks on most buses, making it easier than ever for cyclists to combine bike and bus travel.

“Whether you’re riding for your health, the environment, or to save on transportation costs, we’re excited to support you on Bike to Wherever Days and every day,” said SamTrans General Manager/CEO April Chan. “We’re proud to make it easier for people to choose active and sustainable ways to get around.”
