Touch2 What six-year-old, at one time or another, has not envisioned being behind the wheel of big red fire engine or imagined the inside of a dump truck or played make-believe driver of a big 35-foot bus? I’ll bet not many. SamTrans, for the second year, will be participating in the 6th Annual Touch-A-Truck hosted by Open Gate Nursery School this Saturday, April 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Bus personnel will be on-hand to speak with participants of the event and welcomes the public to tour the inside of a SamTrans bus. Stop by the SamTrans’ information table and ask questions, and enjoy some giveaways. This family event and fundraiser invites children to play, touch, climb and explore vehicles that can ignite a child’s imagination in a safe and supervised environment.

Enjoy the mini race track or explore and create designs of imaginary vehicles through artful activities. Admission to this event is $5 per person or $20 for a family of six. Food vendors and lunch trucks will be on-site and parking is free. Open Gate Nursery School is located at 2124 Brewster Avenue, in Redwood City.  For more information, visit www.ogns.org/touch-a-truck
