The San Mateo County Fair is back and in full swing, bringing food, music, games and family-friendly entertainment to the Peninsula through Sunday, June 8.

Fairgoers can enjoy daily concerts, live performances by local artists, and attractions like the petting zoo, where visitors can feed farm animals and their adorable offspring. Carnival games, fair prizes, and a wide variety of food vendors round out the experience, creating a festive atmosphere for all ages.

Established in 1926 as the “Little Flower Show” by the Burlingame Garden and Flower Club, the fair has evolved into a countywide event. It moved to its current location at the San Mateo County Event Center in 1935, adjacent to the former Bay Meadows Racetrack. Over the years, the fair has hosted performances by artists such as Johnny Cash, En Vogue and Boys II Men. The San Mateo County Fair is a summer tradition and SamTrans is committed to helping everyone get there safely and easily.

SamTrans offers several convenient routes to the fair, including the ECR, 250, 251, 292, and the 294. Riders can take advantage of SamTrans affordable fares and discounts for youth and seniors as well as Clipper Card users.

This summer, skip the hassle of parking, ride public transit, and reconnect with your community at the San Mateo County Fair.
