It’s Pride Month, and local transit agencies are doing more than ever to help you celebrate LGBTQ+ diversity along the Peninsula and in Silicon Valley.
Not only is SamTrans here to safely transport you to and from the parades, festivals and celebrations, we’re also excited to participate in some of this year’s Pride events.
Here’s a quick look at what’s on our calendar and how we hope to serve you along the way:
SATURDAY, JUNE 3:
- PACIFICA Pride: parade, performances, and family-fun area.
- SamTrans routes to consider: 110 (from Daly City BART), 112 (from Colma BART), and 117 (from Half Moon Bay).
SATURDAY, JUNE 10:
- SAN MATEO COUNTY Pride: entertainment, live DJ, family-friendly activities.
- SamTrans routes to consider: ECR and 250.
- Nearest Caltrain station: San Mateo
SATURDAY, JUNE 10:
- SILICON VALLEY Pride: official pride celebration is in August but this Pride block party has dancing, singing, performers, and lots of drag.
- Nearest Caltrain station: Santa Clara
- Consider connecting with VTA options.
SUNDAY, JUNE 11:
- HALF MOON BAY Pride: parade, entertainment, food and drinks, family-fun zone, and after-party.
- LOOK FOR: SamTrans Pride Bus with SamTrans volunteers in the parade!
- SamTrans routes to consider: 117 (from Pacifica), and 294 (from San Mateo).
SATURDAY/SUNDAY, JUNE 24, 25:
- SAN FRANCISCO Pride: parade, festival, many side events.
- LOOK FOR: SamTrans Pride Bus with SamTrans volunteers in the parade!
- SamTrans route ECR gets you to Millbrae, Daly City BART.
- Nearest Caltrain station: San Francisco 4th and King Station .
- Consider connecting with BART and Muni options.
At the SamTrans Board of Directors meeting on June 7, directors voted unanimously to celebrate June as LGBTQ+ Pride Month, reaffirming their commitment to diversity, equity, access, and inclusion.
By choosing to take SamTrans or other public transit services to Pride celebrations, you’ll spend less time driving, parking and worrying about your vehicle — and more time focusing on the fun and diversity of Pride.
